Venue Hire Terms & Conditions

The Celebration Centre · Managed by Complete Events Limited · Last updated 27 September 2026

The agreement that applies when you hire The Celebration Centre: what you book, your responsibilities and ours, and how liability works.

1. About these terms

The Celebration Centre is operated and managed by Complete Events Limited (“we”, “us”, “our”). In these documents, “the Venue” means The Celebration Centre marquee, its grounds, car park, vendor and changing areas at 1 Orchid Drive, Cardinal Olubunmi Okoje Avenue, Sangotedo, Lagos.

These terms apply to every hire of the Venue. Your Booking Confirmation (the quote or invoice we issue and you accept) sets out your date, times, spaces, services and fees. If the Booking Confirmation and these terms differ, the Booking Confirmation applies for that booking.

By paying a deposit or signing a Booking Confirmation, you (the “Client”) accept these terms, our Bookings, Payments & Refunds policy, Venue Rules & Guest Conduct, Vendor & Supplier Policy and Health, Safety & Security policy.

2. Your booking

A date is held provisionally only when we say so in writing. It is confirmed once we receive the deposit set out in Bookings, Payments & Refunds and send a Booking Confirmation.

The hire covers the spaces and hours stated in the Booking Confirmation, including agreed set-up and breakdown time. Extra time must be agreed in advance and may be charged.

The Client must be at least 18 years old and is responsible for the event, their guests and the suppliers they bring.

3. Capacity and layout

The Venue accommodates approximately 800 to 1,000 guests depending on seating and configuration, and parking for approximately 300 to 500 vehicles depending on layout and the traffic-management plan. The maximum numbers for your event are those in your Booking Confirmation and must not be exceeded.

Final guest numbers and layout must be confirmed at least 14 days before the event.

4. What we provide

  • Access to the booked spaces for the agreed hours, clean and ready at the start of your hire.
  • Generator-backed power throughout the agreed event period.
  • The dedicated vendor and cooking/service area and private changing facilities.
  • Controlled venue access and event security arrangements as set out in the Health, Safety & Security policy.
  • Tables and chairs if hired, subject to stock and your package.

5. Your responsibilities

  • Ensure your guests and suppliers follow the Venue Rules and staff instructions.
  • Obtain any permits, licences or permissions your event requires (for example for public performances or road use).
  • Leave the Venue in the condition you found it, apart from normal use, and remove all your items by the end of the hire.
  • Tell us in advance about anything unusual: special effects, heavy equipment, large structures, livestock or high-profile guests.

6. Damage and caution fee

A refundable caution fee, stated on your invoice, is payable before the event. After the event we inspect the Venue and return the caution fee within 7 working days, minus the reasonable cost of any damage, missing items, excess cleaning or overtime.

The Client is responsible for loss or damage caused by the Client, their guests or suppliers beyond the caution fee.

7. Our right to refuse or stop an event

We may decline a booking, or stop an event in progress, if it is unlawful, unsafe, exceeds agreed capacity, seriously breaches these terms, or risks harm to people or the Venue. Where we stop an event because of the Client’s breach, no refund is due.

8. Liability

Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything that cannot be limited by Nigerian law.

Otherwise, our total liability for any booking is limited to the hire fees paid for that booking. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of or damage to property brought onto the Venue by the Client, guests or suppliers, except where caused by our negligence.

We recommend that Clients arrange event insurance for large or high-value events.

9. Events outside our control

Neither party is liable for failure caused by events beyond reasonable control, such as severe weather, flooding, fire, civil unrest, government restrictions or failure of public utilities. If such an event prevents your booking, we will first offer an alternative date; the refund position is set out in Bookings, Payments & Refunds.

10. General

These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, and the courts of Lagos State have jurisdiction. We will always try to resolve concerns informally first.

We may update these terms; the version in force on the date of your Booking Confirmation applies to that booking.
